Melody R. Mathews, AuD, CCC-A
Melody Mathews is a native of Alabama. She was born and raised in Enterprise, Alabama, where she graduated as Valedictorian from Enterprise High School in 2002. Melody attended the University of South Alabama in Mobile, Alabama, and graduated Cum Laude in 2005 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Speech and Hearing Sciences. Melody is a 2009 Cum Laude graduate of Auburn University in Auburn, Alabama, where she received her Doctor of Audiology degree.
Melody’s work experience includes completing externships at practices throughout the State of Alabama, including the Children’s Hospital in Birmingham, Alabama. She completed her Doctorate of Audiology Fourth Year Internship at the Children’s HEAR Center, which is part of the Children’s Hospital of Alabama. While working at the Children’s HEAR Center, a center for hearing impaired children, Melody performed diagnostic testing for children of all ages. She also worked extensively with Hearing Aids, FM Systems, Bone Conduction and Bone Anchored Hearing Aids, as well as with Cochlear Implants. Melody has extensive experience with the hearing healthcare and management of children.
Melody is a member of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association, as well as a fellow of the American Academy of Audiology. She has her Certificate of Clinical Competence in Audiology and is a licensed Audiologist in the States of Georgia and Alabama.
